The Spokeswomen's Program
The Spokeswomens Program provides early career women with opportunities to develop their skills, learn about their organisation, network, and promote womens work and career needs.
The new Spokeswomens Program Resource Kit offers advice on how to develop, customise or re-vitalise a Spokeswomen's Program in your agency and how to elect and appoint Spokeswomen.
The Kit can also be used to develop other professional and support networks for women. For example, some agencies have networks for women working in non-traditional roles, or in regional areas.
To make links with Spokeswomen at other agencies or to find out more, contact the Public Sector Workforce Office on (02) 9228 4444 or spokeswomen@dpc.nsw.gov.au.
Registration
The Public Sector Workforce Office maintains a register of Spokeswomen and Womens Liaison Officers to facilitate networking and coordinate Spokeswomens events.
