Training incentives
The NSW Department of Education and Training, State Training Services, offers financial incentives to employers and to apprentices and trainees to ease the financial burden and encourage the uptake and retention of apprenticeships and traineeships. Incentives include payroll tax and exemptions from workers compensation for employers, and assistance with travel, clothing and car registrations for apprentices and trainees. The Commonwealth Government offers incentives and other assistance for People with disabilities who undertake an apprenticeship or traineeship (specific eligibility applies). For more information go to Australian Apprenticeships.
