Public sector agencies and universities have a person responsible for EEO who can assist with:
- Information on programs
- Problems with discrimination or harassment
- Grievance procedures
If you are not sure who your agency contact is, please contact your Director of Human Resources in the first instance.

- Dealing with Employee Work-Related Concerns and Grievances and Harassment Free Workplace
Employees who believe that they are being discriminated against should follow their agency’s grievance procedures to attempt to resolve the matter.
- Liaise with their supervisor or manager
- Raise the matter with the agency’s HR Manager or Director
If the agency grievance process does not resolve the matter, an employee may get advice from a lawyer, union or from one of the following bodies to determine whether they have grounds for a complaint:
