Discrimination Complaints
Where do I make a complaint about discrimination?
In the first instance, you are encouraged to discuss any issues with your Human Resources section and refer to the grievance/complaint handling process in your organisation. You can also seek assistance from your Union.
If you are still not satisfied with the outcome, discrimination complaints can be made to the anti-discrimination body in your State or the Human Rights and Equal Opportunity Commission. If you are based in NSW, in the first instance contact the NSW Anti-Discrimination Board on 9268 5544. If they deem the complaint as appropriate they will ask you to contact the Human Rights and Equal Opportunity Commission on 1300 656 419. The following link provides a list of grounds for discrimination complaints.
